Stress is an integral part of our lives and indeed a necessary part - it is how we handle stress that makes it good or bad for us.

The most important thing is never to compare how you handle stress with how another person appears to handle stress and then judge yourself in a bad light.
Sometimes it is easy to look at others and feel that they sail through life's ups and downs but unless you are in their 'boat' you don't really know what they are going through. They may be looking at you and wondering how you can 'cope' as well as you do!
Have you ever watched a swan floating gracefully across a lake? Yet when the swan comes near the shore you see its legs through the water - and they're flapping like crazy! That person you judge yourself against could be just like that swan - calm on the surface but really chewed up inside and you strive to be like that! Really?
